WHY DO WE USE A SWEETENER?
It has been suggested in studies that sugar aggravates ADHD symptoms, as recently as 2023 (1). Therefore, we opted to make Shruum powder zero sugar.
Although an unsweetened version was considered, we felt it likely most people would choose to sweeten the beverage using sugar.
We chose Stevia as our sweetener of choice as it is derived from a plant and 100% natural. Despite a lot of misinformation, several studies have stated that Stevia is not bad for the gut and can in fact, have some positive effects (2) (3) (4) (5)
IS THIS ADHD MEDICATION?
Not directly. Our products contain medicinal and adaptogenic mushrooms and herbs that have been used traditionally for thousands of years. They provide benefits that will help many of the classic symptoms of ADHD, however, always consult your GP before choosing to replace any prescribed medicines with The Shruum.

HOW MUCH AND WHEN SHOULD I TAKE IT?
We've designed 'The Shruum' to be usable, at least once per day. The use of Lion's Mane and other clinically tested ingredients means that a single 10g serving (4 metal scoops) in the morning will see you through the day!
However, there's no reason not to take two 5g servings add different times or even adding slightly more to your daily routine. We advise taking no more than 14g servings per day maximum - just find what works best for you!
'The Shruum' is best served as a hot drink which you can mix with almost anything - water, milk, coffee, tea, whatever you enjoy.
IS IT SAFE TO TAKE WHILST ON MEDICATION?
Generally yes, but as always you should consult with your doctor if you have any specific questions or concerns about your medication.
For those on stimulant medication, it is often advised not to consume caffeine while taking your meds.
In the case of Rhodiola Rosea and Ginkgo Biloba, these herbs have been shown in clinical trials to complement the affects of ADHD medication.
